Here is Mark with the R8600 mounted on a Gull 2000 as the test frame. Note: A Tractor Prop is being used in this set up.

Here Mark is operating the throttle. In these test runs the R8600 was taken upto 2200 RPMs. Sounds like a sixteen cylinder.

The R8600 runs so smooth that only a rope from the nose gear to a thrust meter was required to keep the Gull 2000 in place.

|
Here you can see the Sea & Land Dyno mounted on the prop shaft. Note also that we are only using straight exhaust tubes during the test.
